In the very beginning I find heirlooms (deeds/portraits) most important because if you get to veteran level dungeons without the right gear you're setting yourself up for failure. Im hovering on 15-20k after each mission. The money sink is really starting to set in. Im have no other low lvl healers, am i going to have to train from scratch? It sounds like i need to grind more gold. lvl 5s can go to the dd and champ dungeons right? Originally posted by Push Buttons and Pray:two of my mercs got auto lvl'd to 5 in a town event. Not to spoil too much but DD1 has a fairly badass boss, DD2 and DD3 have fairly obvious gimmicks once you encounter them, and DD4 is what it is. If you don't spoil and didn't pick a winning team, in all but the first Darkest Dungeon level, it should be really obvious what kind of team to bring for your second attempt. How you plan that is up to you and whether you spoil yourself or not, but you need four teams of four L6 heroes and, especially if you aren't spoiling, backups for when some of them die. To make sure you only hit the locked-in ones, always remove minor quirks cheaply in the Sanitarium, even if they're otherwise insignificant.įinally, you should be thinking of your final trips to the Darkest Dungeon.

Also Cove missions armed with Medicinal Herbs for Eerie Corals to remove these negative quirks.

Removing locked in negative quirks is too expensive, so farm events like Caregiver's Convention to remove locked-in negative quirks and lock in positive quirks. Negative quirks are killers at this stage. Stress is super important so make sure all characters have at least Encourage and their stress relief skills from the Survivalist. You probably can't afford to max everything right away, still try to have leveled up Weapons/Armor and at least the skills you actually use. Going into Champion missions with weak Weapons/Armor is suicide. Open the Farmstead and kill the Miller as soon as possible because shard farming can be profitable, even if you only do it with mercenaries. Save the Baron for when/if the Curse gets bad/annoying enough you want to get rid of it.
